IGMA brings India's greenhouse manufacturers under one roof. Our members make the steel, cladding, nets and irrigation systems behind protected-cultivation projects across the country, and almost all of it is now made in India.
Many of our members grow crops under the same roofs they build. We know the farmer's side because we live it.

Gutter-connected spans of galvanised steel, clad in UV-stabilised film and cooled by ridge vents and roll-up side curtains with insect-proof net.

A closed structure cooled by drawing air through wet cellulose pads with exhaust fans, with internal shade screens and a climate controller.

From bare land to first harvest
Survey and design
Soil, water, wind load and the planned crop decide the design before a single pipe is cut.
Fabrication and erection
Galvanised steel is fabricated in Indian factories; columns are set in concrete and the frame, gutters and arches go up.
Planting and handover
Film, nets, drip and controls are fitted, the grower is trained and the first crop goes in.
First harvest
Within months, the farm supplies cleaner, higher-value produce to markets, modern trade and exporters.
Every polyhouse is a farmer's bet on the future. Our job is to make sure that bet pays.
